RADICALS
The square root of a positive number x is the number that, when squared, equals x.
For example:
The square root of 16 equals 4 because 4 × 4 = 16.
The square root of 9 equals 3 because 3 × 3 = 9.
The square root of 4 equals 2 because 2 × 2 = 4.
The symbol for a positive square root is √, also called a radical.
√16=4
√9=3
